We have four venues to choose from:

The Motsetse Cellar (situated in the main building); The Pavilion (slightly apart from the hotel reception area); and The Glade (a picturesque picnic area next to the Motsetse Stream).

The Cradle Boutique Hotel with this charming venue is situated a mere 9 kilometres from Lanseria International Airport on the Cradle Nature Reserve, which encompasses 7,000 hectares of Highveld bush. 

Our glorious Gauteng weather makes for perfect outdoor weddings, so we typically host ceremonies in The Glade next to the Motsetse Stream. Pre-reception drinks and snacks are presented to guests in your chosen venue while your photographs may be taken in any of the locations around the Hotel.

For your wedding reception, you may choose from four exceptionally unique venues, keeping in mind that your choice will largely dependent on the size of your wedding party.

The Cradle Boutique Hotel Nature Reserve has the following venues: The Glade/Motsetse; The Glade/Stoneroom; The Glade/Boma; The Pavilion and The Glade.

The Cradle Restaurant’s is a modern architectural masterpiece in stone, steel and glass, with retractable floor-to-ceiling glass doors that offer breathtaking views of the landscape. The Pavilion is set slightly apart from the main building and boasts similar architecture as the Restaurant, as well as endless African Bushveld views. The Motsetse Cellar in the lower level of the main building. The Glade is blissfully situated next to the Motsetse stream.

PACKAGE 1: UP TO 46 GUESTS

  • The wedding ceremony in The Glade.

  • Located in the Cradle Restaurant main building, the intimate Motsetse is made up of two rooms that can be used separately or opened up to create one larger venue with versatile space. The rooms each have an outside terrace, overlooking the magnificent indigenous bush reminding guests of the history of this ancient place, the Cradle of Humankind, where life itself began.

Beautiful stonework, a valuated ceiling and slide-away glass doors the full length of the Stone Room create a sense of being enveloped by the bush. The Stone Room is situated a stone’s throw from the main building, yet leaves you breathless with a phenomenal natural scenery.

    • The Pavilion is the newest addition to The Cradle Boutique Hotel. This stand-alone facility, separate from the hotel itself with its own entrance from the public road, contains a number of versatile spaces all leading onto magnificent lawns and a pool deck amongst the trees. Arrange a wedding of a lifetime in this exceptional facility where the bridal couple and their guests can enjoy the exclusivity of the entire Pavilion. The opportunities for this venue are as endless as the horizon surrounding it.
